Thanks all for replying.
Actually, many students feel shy when they want to speak specially girls.
Some male and female students when they want to speak in English they
start with English, then they shift to Arabic to rescue their selves.
Many problems face the learner of English from my point of view :
first is the confidence, you know that some people are well literate in
English but they have no confidence , also there is a problem which
relates to the vocabulary . learners should know different kinds of
vocabularies because we choose specific vocabularies according to the
topic . Also, speakers who are non-natives should know the conjunctions
to connect between sentences whether in written language or spoken.
Although I graduated from the university the last semester and my
Specialization was English language and literature but I still face some
problem with the language.
I think that I suffer is due to two reasons from my point of view , the
first one is from my self , I didn’t improve my English from the
beginning, then the second reason is from our university, it has many
weaknesses in its programme , I mean the programme of English
Language and Literature because there are some materials not were parts
of the programme ,such as Phoneitics, translation, the materials that focus
of talking and speech and so on.
Anyway, everything will be easy by practices because practices transfer
us into real conversations and real writing.
So, I think that this topic would be a good opportunity for us to improve
our language .. but this does not prevent me to speak in Arabic
sometimes to rescue myself
I let the first subject to you nour and Sayed Ahmed, you can suggest it.
Good luck to all
